Apply your adhesive to the strip, not to your prosthesis.
Hairline Illusions Silicone Protective Strips create a replaceable application surface between hair system adhesive and the base of your wig, topper, or cranial prosthesis.
Apply the strip to a clean, dry area of the base, then apply your adhesive to the outside of the strip. The adhesive and the remover contact the replaceable strip rather than being worked directly on the base, week after week.
When a strip becomes worn, contaminated, loses adhesion, or no longer performs properly, remove it carefully and lay a fresh one.

How to use
Lightly wipe the application area with alcohol and let it dry completely.
Stick a strip onto the cap.
Apply your adhesive to the outside of the strip, not to the base itself.
Allow the adhesive to set according to its manufacturer's directions.
Remove slowly, without lifting an edge and pulling.
Replace the strip when it is worn, contaminated, or no longer holding.
Care and storage
Store unused strips flat, sealed, in a clean cool dry place. Keep them away from prolonged contact with harsh solvents, oils, and heat.
About the front hairline
The front edge is the most delicate part of most prostheses, and removal tension there can stretch or tear fine foundation materials. Place strips in the perimeter, side, and back areas instead, and release the front edge slowly.
If your unit is lifting at the sideburns or back, the problem may be fit rather than adhesive. Properly positioned combs often hold better without adding more glue.
These strips protect the base during adhesive use. Your adhesive choice, your removal technique, and your maintenance schedule still matter.
