MEDICAL CRANIAL PROSTHESIS STANDARD™
Medical words should be supported by medical-level responsibility.
At Hairline Illusions and HIASTI, we believe the term “medical cranial prosthesis” should mean more than a wig with a medical label.
A medical cranial prosthesis is not defined by marketing language alone. It is defined by the process behind it: client intake, scalp and skin consideration, material selection, foundation design, density planning, documentation, aftercare, and professional responsibility.
Every client’s case is different. A chemotherapy client, a child with alopecia, a client with traction alopecia, a post-surgical client, and a client with scalp sensitivity may all require different design decisions. The foundation, attachment method, ventilation pattern, density, weight, and scalp-contact materials must be selected with the client’s condition and comfort in mind.
This is why Hairline Illusions does not approach cranial prosthetics as ordinary wig construction. We manufacture premium cranial prosthetics in America using carefully selected materials, advanced handwork, and case-based planning. Our work is built around realism, safety, comfort, documentation, and long-term wearability.
HIASTI was created to raise the educational standard in this field. We do not teach professionals to simply use medical terminology. We train them to understand the science, construction logic, material behavior, scalp considerations, documentation practices, and ethical responsibilities behind cranial prosthetics.
A cosmetic wig can be beautiful. A hair replacement system can be well made. But a medical cranial prosthesis requires a higher level of planning, documentation, and professional care.
