The Private Commission
We build a small number of pieces each year.
Each one is commissioned, measured, constructed and finished for one person. Nothing is pulled from inventory. Nothing is adapted from a stock cap. The work begins with your head, your hair, your life, and it ends roughly a year later with a piece that exists only for you.
We are accepting commissions for 2027.
What a commission is
It begins with a conversation, not a catalogue.
We look at your own hair, what remains of it and how it behaves. We assess the scalp, because what sits against it governs everything that follows. We talk about how you live, how often you travel, what you do in the heat, whether you swim, whether you sleep in it, who knows and who does not.
Only then do we discuss construction. Base type, ventilation density, parting, attachment, hairline depth, the caliber of the hair itself and where it will come from.
The piece is built in our Orlando studio by hand. Depending on the system, that takes six months to a year. Dreadlock systems take nine to ten months. Advanced systems carry a two year wait.
We do not rush this, and we will tell you plainly if your timeline and our standards cannot meet.
Why it takes a year
A hand-tied piece is assembled one knot at a time. A single unit contains tens of thousands of them, each placed at a particular angle and depth so the hair leaves the base the way hair leaves a scalp.
Density that is even everywhere reads as a wig. Real hair is never even. That irregularity is not an accident of the work, it is the work, and it cannot be automated or hurried.
We use medical-grade materials and unprocessed hair with the cuticle intact, running in one direction. We manufacture in the United States with skilled labor we trained ourselves. Those choices are the reason our pieces cost what they do, and we make no apology for any of them.
Discretion
Most of our clients do not want to be known as someone who wears hair.
We are accustomed to that. Fittings are private. Correspondence is handled personally. Your images are never used, published or shared without your written permission, and permission for one purpose is not permission for another. Nothing about your file leaves this studio.
For clients who travel or who prefer not to come to us, arrangements can be made.
The second piece
Clients who wear daily generally keep two systems in rotation.
One is worn while the other is serviced, refreshed or held in reserve. It means you are never without hair, never waiting on a repair, and never wearing a piece that needs attention because it is the only one you have.
We recommend it for anyone whose work puts them in front of people.
Resting Hair®
A piece can be converted for a final presentation.
We have done this for clients and for families of clients, including for a longtime client after her passing, so that she was presented in her own hair. It is quiet work and we treat it accordingly. If this is what you need, call us directly.
What we ask of you
Time. A commission cannot be compressed into a month because a date has arrived.
Candor. About your hair loss, your habits, your expectations and your budget. We would rather tell you what a piece will actually cost than discover a mismatch halfway through a build.
A deposit. It places your commission on the calendar and is applied in full toward the cost of the system.

We will talk before anything is measured, quoted or scheduled. If what you need is not something we should build, we will tell you that too, and point you somewhere better.
