National College Decision Day 2026

Yesterday was National College Decision Day, and the turnout across Florida was extraordinary.

May 1, 2026 brought a wave of cosmetologists, students, and aspiring practitioners through our doors, each one weighing where to invest their next chapter. We interviewed many hopefuls from across the state. We listened to their stories. We asked them why this work, why now, and why HIASTI.

The conversations were humbling.

We met cosmetologists with years of salon experience ready to step into clinical work. We met students fresh out of school who had already identified the gap between styling and medical hair loss care. We met women returning to their craft after raising children, caring for parents, or surviving their own health journeys, now ready to serve others.

Every applicant brought something.

Not all of them will receive a scholarship. But every one of them reminded us why this work matters and why we built HIASTI to support it.

To every applicant who came through this week, thank you. Whether you receive funding or not, the fact that you showed up, told your story, and asked to be considered says something about who you are.

To the profession watching, this is what the future of clinical hair work looks like in Florida and beyond. People choosing this path with intention, with discipline, and with purpose.
